
Jack Peckinpaugh, CLU, ChFC, CEPS, was active in the life insurance business for 66 years. During his career he served as president of East Central IN association, NAIFA-IN, and NALU (now NAIFA). He was also President of MDRT in 1975. He was a life and qualifying member of MDRT for 65 years and Top of the Table and Court of the Table for nine years. He was the recipient of the John Newton Russell award in 2004.
In 1993 he was awarded the Sagamore of the Wabash by Governor Evan Bayh. Jack served Delaware Couty as County Councilman and County Commissioner.
He was a Trustee for Ball State University for 8 years and served on the Muncie Community School Board for 12 years. He served his church in many capacities over his lifetime. Jack considered service to his community a privilege and important responsibility.
What was most important to Jack during his career was encouraging other agents and making time to share his ideas to help them grow their business and be their best. He always served his clients and their families with respect and compassion. Jack believed he owed much to the industry which had afforded him the opportunity to provide for his family and to meet so many wonderful people. He felt truly blessed to have 66 years in our great business.

Rules for Nominations – IMPORTANT
A nominee must be a current and continuous member of NAIFA-Indiana for a minimum of 10 years.
A nominee must be nominated by no fewer than two (2) current members of NAIFA-Indiana, with each nominator having been a member for a minimum of 10 consecutive years.
Each nominator shall submit with the application a letter of nomination with details explaining why they believe the nominee is worthy of this award.
Applications shall be submitted by the nominating member/s.
The Selection committee has made the decision that this award shall be offered for nominations on a two-year cycle. This cycle begins with the calendar year 2027.
The Selection Committee reserves the right to NOT make a selection for this award if the committee believes there are no nominees who meet the high standards established for this prestigious award.
If a nominee is not selected in a two-year cycle, the nominators may re-submit a new and updated application in the next award cycle.
Selection Criteria
To give this award the status it merits, the Committee established broad criteria for use in selecting nominees. The nominee should be a living current member of NAIFA-Indiana engaged professionally as follows: agent in personal production, agent in multi-line sales, financial planner, general agent or manager, second line field manager, brokerage director, investments, or a combination of these.
The Nominating Committee established three categories for measurement.
Each nominee will be scored on a scale of 1-10 in each of these three categories by members of the selection committee. Scores assigned under the NAIFA category will be tripled and scores under the INDUSTRY category will be doubled.
