The course will orient attendees on benefits available to veterans of the United States Armed Forces, their spouses and their family members. Those who attend will learn the unique needs of veterans as well as how to identify and access benefits available to them and their family members through the U.S. Armed Forces and the Veterans administration. Topics include healthcare, disability, long term care and pension benefits with a focus on explaining to financial advisors how to help veterans their families access the benefits they have earned.

2026 Day on the Hill - Legislative Day

We invite you to take part in our annual legislative day, earn CE, meet with fellow NAIFA-IN members, and interact with your lawmakers.

We will get started with registration and coffee at 9:30am, hear from state and local speakers, before heading over to the statehouse. Lunch is currently on your own.

Chris Barnthouse has taught CE around the state for nearly 20 years and has influenced LTCi legislation at the state and national level. He regularly attends LTCi conferences around the country and brings the knowledge he gathers there to his LTCi renewal course.

Topics will include Indiana Long Term Care insurance law, Medicaid regulations, tax treatment of LTCi, veterans’ benefits, specialty and hybrid LTCi products, and what’s new in LTCi in Indiana and across the country.
